We welcome a new joint post-doc with the Ji lab, Chunying Jia, to our lab. She has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and is an expert in independent component analysis. She is planning to explore advanced methods for analyzing population neural activity data by taking advantage of her signal processing background. We had a joint welcome lunch at 海底捞 to celebrate, right in time before members go back home for the Spring Festival break!
