In our research, we use mathematical methods to analyze complex neural data. In one of our projects, we have been using optimal transport to analyze neuron shapes. We benefited greatly from public lectures by Prof. Turnquist at BIMSA, an international mathematics institute in the suburbs of Beijing. Therefore, it was a pleasure to visit BIMSA in person and the nearby international conference venues in Yanqihu. We thank Prof. Turnquist and BIMSA for this wonderful opportunity!
